About the Pavilion

Pavilion laptops are among the most common machines in UK homes. Hinge and lid damage, charging sockets and worn batteries are the repairs we are asked about most, and x360 models add a touchscreen that is replaced as a full assembly.

Every repair starts with a free assessment and a fixed price. Nothing is done until you approve it, and repairs carry a 3-month warranty.

Pavilion repairs

Screens

Touch and non-touch versions use different parts. On touchscreen and 2-in-1 models the glass and display are bonded and replaced as one assembly.

Batteries

The battery sits inside the case and is held by screws. We fit the correct part number and check that it charges and reports properly.

Keyboards and trackpads

The keyboard is fixed into the palm rest, so the two are replaced together as a top case. Trackpads are replaced separately.

Charging and power

Depending on the model, charging is through a DC socket or USB-C. Either port can be replaced, and charging circuits are repaired on the board.

Motherboard and liquid damage

No power, no display and liquid damage are repaired at component level wherever parts are available, instead of replacing the whole board.

Upgrades

Upgrade options vary across the Pavilion range: some models have memory slots, others are soldered. We check yours before quoting.

Look on the base, or under the battery on older models, for the model code, for example "15-eg0003na", and the product number, which looks like "2Q2V9EA#ABU". Send us that with a description of the fault and we reply with a price, normally the same working day.

Is an older Pavilion laptop worth repairing?

Often, yes. We tell you the price before any work starts, and if the repair would cost more than the laptop is worth, we say so.

Can you make my Pavilion laptop faster?

Usually. Where the model allows it, an SSD or memory upgrade makes the biggest difference. We check what your exact model accepts before quoting.
