Laptop repairs, sorted by what has gone wrong
You know what the laptop is doing; you may not know why. Choose the symptom below to see the likely causes, the checks worth trying first and how we put it right.

One symptom, several possible faults
A laptop that will not turn on might need a new charger or a repair to the motherboard. A slow laptop might have a failing drive or simply too little memory. The symptom tells us where to start looking, and the assessment tells us what has actually failed.
That is why we assess every laptop free of charge before quoting. You get a fixed price for the real fault, on all makes: Dell, HP, Lenovo, ASUS, Acer, Microsoft Surface, MSI, Samsung, Apple MacBook and others listed on our makes page.
How we repair
Component-level work
Many board faults are repaired by replacing the failed part on the motherboard, not the whole board.
Parts matched to your model
Screens, batteries and keyboards are matched to the exact model and specification.
Tested before return
Every repair is tested under load, on battery and on mains, before the courier takes it back.
Your files left alone
We do not wipe or reinstall anything without asking you first.
