For PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo and handheld consoles, see console repair prices.
Why prices start "from"
The same repair can cost very different amounts on two laptops. A screen for one model may be several times the price of a screen for another, and a board fault may be one failed component or several. The figures above are where each repair starts for that type of laptop.
For screens, batteries and keyboards we can usually give an exact price from the model number before the laptop leaves you. For board faults and liquid damage, the free assessment tells us what has failed, and you get one fixed price for putting it right.
What the warranty covers
Repairs carry a 3-month warranty. It covers the work we carried out and the parts we fitted. If the same fault returns within that time, contact us and we will put it right.
It does not cover a different fault, or new damage such as a drop or a spill after the laptop has been returned. If you are unsure whether something is covered, call us and ask.
Common questions
Are these the prices I will pay?
They are starting prices. Your exact price is confirmed before any work begins, and nothing is done until you approve it.
Do the prices include VAT?
No. VAT is added at the current rate.
Is the assessment free?
Yes, for laptop repairs. Data recovery is different: it starts with a professional evaluation charged at £94.80, and recovery itself starts from £99 + VAT. See data recovery.
What if the repair is not worth doing?
We tell you. If the price of the repair approaches the value of the laptop, we say so plainly and can copy your files to a new machine or an external drive instead.
How much does the courier cost?
It depends on where you are and the size of the parcel. We confirm the cost when you book the collection.
Can the price change after I have approved it?
Not without your agreement. If we uncover a second fault during the repair, we stop and contact you.
Get a price from a technician
Tell us the make, the model and what has gone wrong. A technician replies with a price and the quickest way to get your laptop to us – normally the same working day.
