Repairing Dell laptops
Dell sells more distinct laptop models than almost anyone, from the Inspiron on a kitchen table to the Latitude issued by an employer and the Alienware bought for gaming. They share a logo and not much else: screens, batteries and keyboards differ between ranges and often between two laptops with nearly the same name.
That is why the model number matters more than the family name. With it we can check the exact screen, battery or board before the laptop leaves you.
