About the ExpertBook

ExpertBooks are the ASUS business range. The B1 is a conventional, upgradeable laptop. The B9 is a very light ultrabook with soldered memory.

Every repair starts with a free assessment and a fixed price. Nothing is done until you approve it, and repairs carry a 3-month warranty.

Screens

We replace cracked and faulty ExpertBook screens with a panel matched to the original size, resolution and connector.

Batteries

The battery sits inside the case and is held by screws. We fit the correct part number and check that it charges and reports properly.

Keyboards and trackpads

The keyboard is fixed into the palm rest, so the two are replaced together as a top case. Trackpads are replaced separately.

Charging and power

Depending on the model, charging is through a DC socket or USB-C. Either port can be replaced, and charging circuits are repaired on the board.

Motherboard and liquid damage

No power, no display and liquid damage are repaired at component level wherever parts are available, instead of replacing the whole board.

Upgrades

Upgrade options vary across the ExpertBook range: some models have memory slots, others are soldered. We check yours before quoting.

Sending your ExpertBook

The model code is on the label underneath, usually after the word "Model", for example "UM425UA" or "G513QM". Send us that with a description of the fault and we reply with a price, normally the same working day.

Common questions

Can you repair several ExpertBook laptops for a business?

Yes. Tell us how many and what is wrong with each, and we arrange one collection. Company laptops are usually encrypted, so ask your IT department for the BitLocker recovery key first.

Will a repair affect the data or the company set-up?

No. We do not wipe or reinstall anything without asking. Most hardware repairs leave Windows and your files exactly as they were.
