About the Aspire 5, 7 and Vero

The Aspire 5 is a step up in build and speed, and most models have room for extra memory and a second drive. The Aspire 7 adds a graphics card and needs its cooling kept clean.

Every repair starts with a free assessment and a fixed price. Nothing is done until you approve it, and repairs carry a 3-month warranty.

Screens

We replace cracked and faulty Aspire 5, 7 and Vero screens with a panel matched to the original size, resolution and connector.

Batteries

The battery sits inside the case and is held by screws. We fit the correct part number and check that it charges and reports properly.

Keyboards and trackpads

The keyboard is fixed into the palm rest, so the two are replaced together as a top case. Trackpads are replaced separately.

Charging and power

Depending on the model, charging is through a DC socket or USB-C. Either port can be replaced, and charging circuits are repaired on the board.

Motherboard and liquid damage

No power, no display and liquid damage are repaired at component level wherever parts are available, instead of replacing the whole board.

Upgrades

Upgrade options vary across the Aspire 5, 7 and Vero range: some models have memory slots, others are soldered. We check yours before quoting.

The model is printed on the base label, for example "Aspire 5 A515-56-50RS" or "Nitro 5 AN515-57". Send us that with a description of the fault and we reply with a price, normally the same working day.
