About the Surface Book and Surface Go
The Surface Book has two batteries, one in the screen and one in the base, and either can fail or swell. The Surface Go is a small tablet with storage soldered to the board on most versions.
Every repair starts with a free assessment and a fixed price. Nothing is done until you approve it, and repairs carry a 3-month warranty.

Screens
Surface screens are bonded to the body. Replacing one means carefully removing the glass, and the same route is used to reach the parts inside.
Batteries
The battery is glued into the chassis. We remove it safely, fit the correct replacement and always deal with a swollen battery first.
Keyboards and trackpads
On Surface Laptop the keyboard is part of the lower case. Surface Pro uses a detachable Type Cover, which is simply replaced.
Charging and power
Surface Connect and USB-C charging faults are diagnosed and repaired on the board.
Motherboard and liquid damage
No power, no display and liquid damage are repaired at component level wherever parts are available, instead of replacing the whole board.
Upgrades
Memory is soldered on every Surface. Storage is replaceable on some models and soldered on others, and we tell you which before you send it.

On Surface Pro and Surface Go, lift the kickstand: the model name and serial number are printed underneath. Send us that with a description of the fault and we reply with a price, normally the same working day.

Common questions
I was told my Surface Book cannot be repaired. Is that true?
Not usually. Surface devices are glued together, which makes repairs slower, not impossible. Tell us the model and the fault and we will say what can be done.
Can data be recovered from a Surface that will not start?
On models with a removable SSD, usually. Where the storage is soldered, it depends on repairing the board.
