About the Blade 17, 18 and Blade Stealth
The Blade 17 and 18 are desktop replacements with room for upgrades. The Blade Stealth and Razer Book are 13-inch ultrabooks with soldered memory.

Screens
Gaming panels are matched by refresh rate as well as size and resolution, so a 144Hz or 165Hz screen is replaced with the same.
Batteries
The battery sits inside the case and is held by screws. We fit the correct part number and check that it charges and reports properly.
Keyboards and trackpads
The keyboard is fixed into the palm rest, so the two are replaced together as a top case. Trackpads are replaced separately.
Charging and power
Depending on the model, charging is through a DC socket or USB-C. Either port can be replaced, and charging circuits are repaired on the board.
Motherboard and liquid damage
No power, no display and liquid damage are repaired at component level wherever parts are available, instead of replacing the whole board.
Upgrades
Upgrade options vary across the Blade 17, 18 and Blade Stealth range: some models have memory slots, others are soldered. We check yours before quoting.
Cooling
Fans and heatsinks are cleaned, thermal compound renewed and worn fans replaced. Performance laptops benefit most from regular cooling service.

The model number is on the base and begins "RZ09", followed by a code for the exact version. Send us that with a description of the fault and we reply with a price, normally the same working day.
